Why should you use a Lip ButterMask?

Reasons To Use Lip ButterMask®

From foaming masks to peel off masks to clay masks, masks have gained popularity in recent years. All thanks to the Korean beauty wave, people have become extremely aware of what they put on their faces and how they treat themselves on days they’re feeling low. That being said, Lip Masks have become a hot commodity in the beauty world. We’re not suggesting that Lip Masks are better than lip balms, but a great complimentary product. While you may make it a point to keep a lip balm handy, sometimes your pout needs a little extra care to look and feel its best. And if you’re obsessed with lip care like us, you may have heard all about the Lip Mask craze.

Lip care should be an integral part of your routine. The skin on your lips is delicate and requires just as much attention — if not more — than the rest of your face, but many of us tend to swipe on a lip balm and go. Although lip balms help to seal in moisture and hydrate your lips, they tend to do nothing for deep moisturization. If you are someone who finds that regular lip balm just isn't cutting it anymore then a Lip Mask could be an option; they’re formulated to give your lips an instant boost as well as softer, smoother lips over time. Lip Masks can be very effective to heal the delicate lips overnight.

When even drinking water still doesn't help, it's smart to look for a good Lip Mask or a lip treatment to stop the dryness and pain that comes from chapped lips, or cheilitis.

Emollients like Butter smooth out skin and lips by filling in cracks and holes. Butters include conditioning oils like mineral or plant oil which help achieve hydration and moisture.

If you’re wondering if Lip Masks are a must for your routine, we’re here to help. Ahead, we’re giving you the lowdown on the benefits of lip sleeping masks to complement your beauty routine.

What are Lip Masks?

Lip Masks are the newest trend in the beauty market and they are getting all the love. Reason? They give your lips the ultimate level of hydration and effectively heal them overnight. It is a thick, creamy formulation that is usually kept overnight. As compared to lip oils, they are thicker. They work better than a regular lip balm or cream as they are formulated to keep your lips extra hydrated. They provide your lips with the right amount of moisture.

The purpose of a Lip Mask is to hydrate your lips, which also makes them look fuller and plumper. Although it's not a mask in the true sense, the term has come to refer to any product that you leave on your skin for a while. Using a Lip Mask is essentially the same as using a lip balm, but the application process is different.

Not to mention, some they are said to plump your lips—and everyone loves a perky pout. Basically, the possibilities are vast for lip sleeping masks.

What are the Benefits of Lip Mask?

Extreme Hydration: When lip balms simply won’t cut, lip masks come into the picture. They are made from thick and nourishing ingredients that are specially formulated to treat the lip tissues and give you the intense hydration. Except instead of the skin on your face, lip masks work to hydrate the skin on your lips.

Fuller lips: Apart from leaving incredibly dewy, hydrated pout, the lip masks provide fuller lips with regular usage. The lip mask reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on the lips and makes your lips look healthy and nourished. The high-performing ingredients like collagen boosts regeneration of new skin cells and helps in formation of new skin layers on the lips.

Smooth base: Have you ever tried applying a lipstick to dry lips? If yes, then you know the tight, uncomfortable feeling that you get which makes you want to take off the lipstick as soon as possible. Instead of living in denial, we should probably accept the fact that lipsticks look best on healthy, nourished lips. Lip Mask will get you a smoother and more even base to give a pout which is an ultimate headturner.

Self-care weekends: Apart from the headturner pout that lip masks give you, a good lip mask will delight your senses and transport you to exotic, faraway tropical island - from wherever you happen to be. It is a perfect reason to indulge in some self-care therapy and give your lips some extra TLC and well-deserved love!

Do Lip Masks really work?

With so many beauty products aimed at providing lips with hydration, you may be thinking that Lip Masks are not worth adding to your arsenal. Well, we’re here to tell you that’s not true. Everyone should add lip masks to their routine.

Lip Masks are also designed to last for longer. Some people have found that Lip Masks work in conditions where regular lip balm simply cannot keep up. They can help reduce signs of aging that come from the skin on your lips getting thinner.

As we mentioned, these skin care products go the extra mile to provide your lips with the right amount of moisture needed. And if you live in a cold and dry climate or are simply prone to dryness, Lip Masks can help pick up the slack.

Lip Mask v/s Lip ButterMask

Till now, we’ve discussed all about Lip Masks. However, lip masks have a lot of types to choose from, just like everything else. It’s never bad to always have choices, right?

Starting with yogurt masks, which are rich in lactic acid, helps peel away old skin cells to reveal newer and brighter skin underneath. Then wax lip masks, which are thick and act as a barrier from environmental factors (think beeswax, petrolatum, and petroleum jelly). The list can go on and on.

Lip ButterMasks, on the other hand, are enriched with the goodness of thick, exotic butters which penetrate deep inside the lip cells and nourish them from within. Not only are they lightweight, but also high performing. Let’s look at the deal with Lip ButterMasks and how they are a much preferred version of LIp Masks.

How is Lip ButterMask better than Lip Balms?

ALANNA’s range of Lip ButterMasks are a great way to instantly nourish and hydrate the lips and can help to improve the skin texture and reduce fine lines around the mouth overtime.

Why choose ButterMasks? Balms are made from waxes which tend to create a layer on your lips while Butters penetrate deep within your lips providing deep nourishment. Lip ButterMasks help your lips hold onto moisture and help heal chapped lips

Lip ButterMask is highly emollient, this means that it’s excellent at preventing dryness. It penetrates the skin deeply and contains 60% fat. Essential fatty acids are needed for the production of collagen, which is the building blocks of our skin’s vitality and structure.

It’s also anti-inflammatory and anti-aging, so for lips, this is good news for keeping our lips plump and smooth. Sore lips can be soothed by the anti-inflammatory properties of Lip ButterMask and the nutrition that will penetrate the lips to keep them healthy.

Better than reapplying chapstick every ten minutes, this ALANNA Lip ButterMasks smooths and moisturizes lips. Use when lips feel dry or as a first step before putting anything else on. The Lip ButterMask that tastes as good as they sound.

ALANNA Lip ButterMasks come in three variants to address your lip concerns. From the ALANNA Day Lip ButterMask™, Raspberry - Lip Tint which is made with Olive Squalane, Encapsulated Vit E, & Tripeptide. It glides perfectly on your lips to enrich them with hydration and make them plump and boost collagen naturally. The best feature of this lip mask is the perfect Nude Pink Tint that it provides & it’s made with organic lip color.

Another one, Lip ButterMask™, Chocolate, which is a bowl of chocolaty perfection, is made of pure roasted cocoa from Ghana. The pure organic butter penetrates deep into cracked lips and deeply nourishes, hydrates & soften them. Encapsulated Vit E & Olive Squalene gives a smooth glide, plumps the lips, boosts collagen production & gives a mild cooling sensation to calm your lips.

The Night Lip Buttermask™, Blueberry - Lip Repair which is enriched with Amazonian Pracaxi Seed Oil (rich in Vit A + Omega 9 and 6) & Tripeptides along with Encapsulated Vit E, it helps in making your lips firm, cool, hydrated & reduces lip lines which leave you with smooth & bri ght lips in the morning to face the day!

Now, glaze your lips with an indulgent, intensive ALANNA Lip ButterMasks  that not only transform rough, chapped lips overnight but also, antioxidant-rich, hydrating Vitamin E leaves lips pillowy, plush and smooth. These ingredients create a delectable, emollient texture for the sweetest recovery & repair.

How do you use a Lip ButterMask?

Ofcourse, the first and foremost step is to read the directions carefully on the packaging on the lip buttermask that you’ve decided to use.

We suggest you exfoliate your lip before using the mask. You can use any lip scrub which is gentle on your lips, like the Lip Scrubs, which are made from sulphurless castor sugar and essential oils to gently rub some dry skin and uneven texture from your lips. After lip exfoliation, it;s time to actually apply the lip mask.

Scoop out some gentle amount before bed and let the key ingredients work their magic while you sleep! This is the perfect time for your lips to heal and repair.

If you’re planning on applying makeup directly after the lip mask (which is definitely not a bad idea as your lips should be nice and smooth at this time), just make sure to pat dry your lips so that your pout is prepped for makeup application.

You’ll also want to check ingredient labels to ensure you’re choosing a natural product that doesn’t contain any potentially irritating ingredients (especially if you have known allergies).

Hopefully, your lips will feel moisturized and smooth — they may even look temporarily plumper.

Things about Lip ButterMasks that you should know

Some people recommend exfoliating your lips first, using a lip scrub. Grab your favourite lip scrub. This removes dead skin and improves absorption of the mask.

Check the ingredients before buying a mask for anything you know you are allergic to. If you use a mask and experience redness or irritation, wash it off immediately and seek medical attention; likely you are allergic to something in there without knowing it.

You should not use a Lip Mask if you have broken or irritated skin on or around your lips. Oral antibiotics and antifungal creams may help your lips feel less itchy. A topical or oral antihistamine may clear up itching and hives if you are having an allergic reaction. Lips that are itchy and dry may need a moisturizing treatment to seal the barrier between your lips and the air while your skin heals.

Lip ButterMasks are also easy to use while traveling, as they don't require water or access to a bathroom. They are extremely potent and all you need to do is scoop out a gentle amount and slather on your lips.

You should almost immediately see results in terms of hydration, but plumpness can take a few days or even a few applications if your lips are particularly dry. However, effects from a Lip ButterMask can easily last for several days.

Lip Masks are now essential, owing to the amazing hydration they give to your lips. They are extremely nourishing and they are a perfect for a pamper session and even when you wish to keep your lips hydrated throughout the day. It is time to take religious care of them as they are one of the most sensitive areas of the face and frame your face with the beautiful smile. Do make them a part of your daily lip care routine for healthy, soft lips.
